Tips

Self leveling floors

1- To get the air bubbles out of the self leveling grout use needle roller with special needles.
2-There are special sandals with spikes on their soles with which you can walk on the self leveling screed without it being damaged
3-In the overlapping edges of the two coatings made ??at different times use a tape to “chop” equal for not seeing the transition.
4-The thickness of the self-leveling grout should not exceed 3-4mm.
5-If the floor has too big bumps, align with a mixture of sand and cement before applying self-leveling grout.
6-Self-leveling grout’s drying time is between 12-24 hours.
7-Excellent results in the laying of parquet and laminates come only after proper application of self-leveling cement.
8-The best tool for applying a self-leveling cement is a stainless steel trowel.
9-Trowels from stainless steel REGGE have different shape of the handles, but are always with the same high quality steel.
10-When working on larger areas use a large trowel 48/13cm
11-The preparation of a self-leveling grout requires the correct amount of water to the dry mixture and sufficiently stirring the solution to obtain a homogeneous mixture.
12-Mixing heavy mortars and adhesives is best to be performed with strong agitators, where the mixing part is fixed to the neck of the instrument by welding.
13-Mixers with “feathers” made ??of sheet metal are weak for mortars. They are suitable for stirring the lighter solution e.g. paint.
14-Mixers of welded thick profile with the min. thickness of 8 mm. are strong and durable. They are suitable for the mixing of heavy solvents, cement, sand and other mixes.

Plaster

1-In operation with plaster, you must not allow the material to congeal in any manner. Any non-standard techniques and recipes from folklore to suppress plaster’s hardening proces lead to significant deterioration of the material.
2-Bad plaster material soon begins to crumble and fall very easily.
3-Drying the plaster is an exothermic process
4-Upstanding plaster releases sensible heat when drying. This may be a sign of his good qualities.
5-If you are looking for slowly tightening gypsum use a gypsum plaster adhesive. It has similar qualities of gypsum, but his time of drying is much longer – about 30 minutes.
6-There is no better product for gypsum plaster then the pure gypsum
7-Working with plaster requires high “sport” skills, speed and accuracy
8-Properly prepared mixture of gypsum is fit for working from 3 to 8 minutes after which it hardens and must be discharged.
9-The final smoothing should be made with a little less strong plaster mixture

Wallpaper or plaster?

1-When changing the shape from wallpapers to plaster after their taking down, the walls should be cleaned of wallpaper glue.
2-Cleaning of wallpaper glue is very important because if there is no good basis, we can not expect a good plaster.
3-
4- Remove wallpaper glue with a trowel
5-For best plaster results, the wallpaper glue should be as clean as possible
6-Prime with adhesive plaster
7-Priming is called sealing of improper base with chemical preparation to facilitate the subsequent application of paint, putty, final coating.
8-Choose the correct primer. Thus saving money, time and nerves
9-Nerves do not cost money. They are priceless.
10-After priming the wall, wait for the primer to tighten without rushing
11-During the application of gypsum plaster use a leading guide for excellent shaped corners
12-After applying the plaster and before painting it is recommended to prime the wall again
13-The second time primer on the plaster is different from the original primer set
14-The prime on the plaster is a prime for paint
15-Put a little (no more than 10%) latex primer paint.
16-After the second primer it is time for final repairs before painting
17-Paint is a pretty expensive product and applying it requires preparation. So the price of paint and labor makes sense.
18-Final adjustments are made with the paste for paint and similar products.
19-Do not rush!
20-Normal time for work is not more than eight hours a day. Shock work brings speed, but also more mistakes.
Paint and painting
1-Once you start painting on a surface you should not stop before it is completed fully.
2-This is mostly true about painting ceilings
3-The direction of the painting is very important.
4-Start from light to dark parts of the room
5-It is good for the ceiling to be painted “on portions” for example squares, that way you won’t even miss a centimeter
6-Before starting to paint the ceiling, remove the lamp instead of wrapping it in plastic or paper. It is easy and worthwhile.
7-Before removing the lamp, turn off the power. Even easier and even more worth it!
8-Close the windows while painting the ceiling. Otherwise, the paintwork will dry unevenly
9-Wear protective paint suit and hat. Paint is always dirty.
10-There are special paint rollers for painting ceilings. They have a lid to keep from spilling, but obscure the visibility of the roller.
